Sachsen-Anhalt

The cluster policy of Saxony-Anhalt focuses on the development of the best possible framework conditions for the activation of clusters and networks. Against the background of existing structural deficits due to the existence of predominantly small-scale enterprises, the state directs its activities towards networking existing potentials. For more than 20 years, supporting the further development of cluster potential has been an important component of the state's economic policy. A central element in supporting cluster development and network development is the promotion of management services. Existing instruments of the "Joint Federal/Länder Task for the Improvement of Regional Economic Structures" and federal programmes such as the "Central Innovation Programme for SMEs" are used.

The dynamic development of the state is essentially driven by innovative companies! With its Regional Innovation Strategy Saxony-Anhalt (RIS), Saxony-Anhalt aims to use and further develop specialisation advantages for intelligent, sustainable and socially inclusive growth. The RIS is oriented towards markets that will be important in the future, so-called " leading markets", in which social, societal and ecological needs will have an impact on demand.

Not least in these lead markets, cooperation networks and innovation clusters make a fundamental contribution to the networking of science and industry and to the realisation of innovation projects based on the division of labour.
