The Network Logistik Mitteldeutschland e.V. was founded in 2008 and unites more than 120 member companies and institutions.

The Logistics Cluster’s four areas support and demand cooperation between logistics suppliers and shippers of all sizes and specializations, public administration, associations and organizations, as well as research and educational institutions.

Logistics Cooperation

The Task Force “Logistics Cooperation” is dedicated to the common business development of logistics companies. Here are the possibilities of cross-company cooperation to be worked out, which lead to the increase in revenues and better capacity utilization. The Task Force Meetings are attended by managers, branch manager or head of logistics companies.

Cluster and Marketing

The Task Force “Cluster and Location Marketing” deals with the marketing of member companies and their services, as well as the logistics region Leipzig-Halle as a major logistics region in Germany and Europe. The Task Force Meetings are primarily attended by sales and marketing employees of member companies.

HR & recruiting skilled employees

In the Task Force “Human Resources” work the staff directors of logistics companies on different ways of obtain and secure the staff for the regional logistic industry in cooperation with education, training and human resources companies. The Cluster was awarded for this commitment by the German minister of labour as "Innovative Network 2013" in securing skilled employees.

Innovation & IT

The Innovation & IT Task Force consists of the IT managers of logistics companies that develop opportunities for cross-enterprise collaboration using the electronic Logistic Cloud Leipzig-Halle. For this is the cluster involved in the Cloud Computing Project LOGICAL
