The Idea

The MoWiN.net network and the Mobility Cluster form the regional platform for cooperation and innovation in the North Hessian mobility economy. We offer project development and management, grant & incentive advisory, events and publications for our members and partners. Companies which operate in networks grow significantly stronger than lone wolves and are also more resistant during times of crisis. "Move more, together" is therefore the guiding principle of MoWiN.net e.V., the network of Regionalmanagement Nordhessen GmbH (Regional Management of North Hesse) for the regional mobility economy.

The Actors

MoWiN.net is directed toward all actors from economy, science and management who are active in the fields of logistics, automotive/vehicle manufacturing, electromobility, railway technology, mobility and traffic management and public transport systems. Created with 28 founding members, today MoWiN.net pursues the common interests of more than 127 companies, institutions and research facilities.

The Industry

The mobility economy is the strongest industry in North Hesse: The region is a renowned center for the automobile industry, an innovative railway technology location and a European logistics center. More than 21% of the workers subject to social insurance contributions in the region provide for movement in the international mobility economy. Strengthening this importance is the task of Regionalmanagement Nordhessen GmbH (Regional Management of North Hesse), which brings together regional actors, bundles common needs and coordinates, implements and markets projects. This task, called cluster development, promotes regional economic cycles and positively influences growth and employment in North Hesse: if a cluster grows, so does the region.

Internationalisation

On a local base networks contribute to the regional and trans-regional cooperation between companies, research institutes and universities as well as other economy-related institutions. By working together, potentials as well as innovative strength and competetiveness are being multiplied in northern Hesse.

For the "Mobilitätswirtschaft Nordhessen – MoWiN.net" network:
