Research and innovation networks are instruments available to the state to link research and development. An essential component of calls for proposals is that they are open to partners from industry - which leads to networking and cooperation between industry and science.

Innovation policy, cluster and network promotion require decision-making bases, knowledge bases and formats, which the Niedersachsen.next GmbH (NDS.next) maintains, supports or develops on behalf of the state. The goal is a close exchange between science and industry. In addition, the Niedersachsen.next is the point of contact for future technologies, such as for the topics of mobility, energy, life sciences, health economy, bioeconomy and production technology. The management as well as the qualification and further development of innovation networks is supported with funds from the (EFRE), such as the Alliance for Intelligent Mobility in Lower Saxony or the Competence Center New Materials and Production.
