The “KI-Lab Bodensee”, a project of the “go-cluster” member cyberLAGO e.V., has received follow-up funding of 199,995 euros. This means that the previous concept from the pilot project can be continued and pursued. The funding from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics, Labour and Housing runs from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2024.
The Lab is the central contact point on the topic of artificial intelligence and makes an important contribution to the future competitiveness of the region. Currently, it already covers the four districts of Constance, Lake Constance, Ravensburg and Sigmaringen.
Easy introduction to the topic of AI
The “KI-Lab Bodensee” offers a simple introduction to the topic of AI through various offers for step-by-step deepening, up to sapplications and solutions. The aim is to develop and expand AI competence in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region so that they understand how and when AI can be used sensibly and efficiently. All SMEs that want to gain access to AI, find AI experts, start AI projects or use AI to strengthen their own innovative power are addressed.

The offers of the “KI-Lab Bodensee” include three local showrooms in Constance, Friedrichshafen and Ravensburg-Weingarten as well as a virtual showroom in the form of a walk-in fictitious company. It also offers comprehensive AI information as well as numerous face-to-face and online events and workshops on topics such as “AI in Industry” or "Machine Learning". In so-called Learning Labs, problems are defined on the basis of regional focus topics and approaches to solutions are developed. The goal is to create projects, cooperations and competence clusters. With the support of experts, companies can also evaluate their own AI projects.
Strengthening innovation and competitiveness
The network around the “KI-Lab Bodensee” is coordinated by the “go-cluster” member cyberLAGO e. V. together with IWT Wirtschaft und Technik GmbH as consortium partner. They are supported by numerous other partners and AI experts from the region.
