Silicon Saxony: EXCITE supported the “Silicon Alps Business Mission 2023”

Together with six member companies, Silicon Saxony took part in the “Electronic Based Systems/Silicon Alps Region” business trip from 11 to 13 October 2023. The mission in Silicon Saxony’s partner network Silicon Alps brought together experts from various fields, including microelectronics, sensor technology, cybersecurity and power electronics.

The trip included visits to leading companies such as Lam Research GmbH, Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Austria GmbH & Co KG and SVI Austria GmbH.

The participants were also guests at EBSCON 2023, a major regional event focussing on Electronic Based Systems. The resulting ClusterXchanges were financially supported by Silicon Saxony’s ongoing EXCITE project.

Over three exciting days, experts from Germany, France, Finland and other regions exchanged knowledge, explored potential partnerships and immersed themselves in cutting-edge research and development activities.

The initiative not only highlighted the thriving technological landscape of the Silicon Alps region, but also underlined the important role of cross-border cooperation in strengthening Europe's global ambitions in the field of digitalisation and technology.
