EU: Apply for CEF Transport Open Call until 18 January 2023

Closing date: 18 January 2023, 17:00 (CET)

The EU is making a total of more than €5 billion available under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Transport programme. Projects are being sought that aim to create new, modernised and improved European transport infrastructure. A core criterion is the respective project contribution to increasing the sustainability of the transport network. Public and private organisations can apply until 18 January 2023.

The projects funded under the Open Call should contribute to reducing transport emissions in the EU by 90% by 2050. This is one goal of the European Green Deal. Details of the CEF Transport Open Call

The total indicative budget of the Open Call is available to support infrastructure projects in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) in the following areas:

  • Rail
  • Inland waterways
  • Sea and inland ports
  • Road safety
  • Railroad terminals
  • Multimodal logistics platforms
  • Multimodal hubs for passenger transport
  • Intelligent and interoperable transport applications
  • Safe and secure mobility
  • Resilience of infrastructure
