Bavarian Power Electronics Cluster: European Sustainable Energy Cluster partnership for Africa (ESECA)

15/16 September 2022: ESECA workshop in Lille, France

ESECA is a partnership formed by five European clusters from Spain, France, Italy and Germany (Bavarian Power Electronics Cluster – ECPE - Cluster Leistungselektronik). It aims at intensifying business network collaboration among European SMEs from the renewable energy and smart grids sector to develop a joint internationalisation strategy plan with common goals towards Sub-Saharan African markets. On 15 and 16 September 2022, an ESECA workshop is taking place in Lille, France.

ESECA is financed by the European Commission as part of the COSME Clusters GO International programme. Five target markets were identified to foster collaborations among European and African SMEs: Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Details and contact to ESECA partnership

As part of this programme's activities, the cluster MEDEE - Motors and Electrical Devices for Energy Efficiency - will host the first ESECA workshop in Lille on 15th and 16th September 2022. This two-day mission will be an opportunity for your company to discover a regional ecosystem actively supporting partnerships in Africa and to engage with local innovative stakeholders. On Thursday 15th, the forum "Energy Access: Supporting innovation between Europe and Africa" will bring together the Hauts-de-France companies and academics from the energy sector. There will be the chance to meet European, Senegalese and Beninese partners from the LEOPARD European project. LEOPARD aims at developing micro-grids technologies in West Africa through solar containerized solution.

On Friday 16th, there is the opportunity to take part in visits of local SMEs that will share their experience on working on the African continent.
