ECPE: CIPS – International Conference on Integrated Power Electronics Systems

In conjunction with its annual event, the ECPE European Center for Power Electronics, together with the VDE ETG, is organising the International Conference on Integrated Power Electronics Systems (CIPS) in Duesseldorf from 12 to 14 March 2024. In addition to basic technologies for integrated power electronic systems, new applications will be presented in interdisciplinary contributions.

In the coming decades, the development of power electronic systems will be driven by energy saving systems, intelligent energy management, power quality, system miniaturisation and high reliability. Monolithic and hybrid system integration will include advanced device concepts, including wide bandgap devices, new packaging technologies and overall integration of actuators/drives (mechatronic integration). CIPS will therefore focus on the following main aspects:

  • Packaging and interconnection technology for power electronic components and converters
  • Integration of hybrid systems and mechatronic systems with high power density
  • Operating behaviour, reliability and availability of systems and components

On the 30th anniversary of the CIPS, the success story will continue, as the focus of the conference is more important today than ever: increasing functionality, energy efficiency and system reliability while reducing costs at the same time.
