Allianz Faserbasierte Werkstoffe Baden-Württemberg: THE Congress –
NATURALfiberEXTRACTION

The first NATURALfiberEXTRACTION congress on October 26, 2022 will cover the entire chain of natural fiber pulping and natural fiber preparation from the field to the consumer. Participants will gain an overview of the technologies and machines currently used on the market. The Allianz Faserbasierte Werkstoffe Baden-Württemberg e. V. (AFBW) and the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf are jointly organizing the congress.

The lighthouse project “Fiber Digestion of Natural Fibers” provides an innovative edge for the use of renewable raw materials. “Industrial processing of renewable raw and residual materials” is also one of the many topics at the congress. Details and registration

In addition to 13 sessions, four interesting workshops are offered:

  • Cultivation and regional potentials

  • Mini-Lab Mechanical, biotechnological and chemical extraction processes
    Host: Stefan Winklehner, Fortum Bio2X, Finland
  • Further processing of natural fibers into industrial raw material suitable for series production
    Host: Kay Kölzig, Sachsen-Leinen e. V.
  • Holistic utilization of biomass and integration into existing value chains
    Host: Dr. Manuel Clauss, Fibers365 GmbH


Last but not least, start-up slams and an exhibition are part of the congress.
