The Maritime Cluster Northern Germany (MCN) is the network of the maritime industry with around 400 members from business, science and politics. With offices in Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, the MCN is present in the north and cooperates with local players. One of the cluster's main objectives is to promote innovations and projects in the maritime industry. The MCN advises on project ideas, provides information on funding programs and helps in the search for suitable project partners.

Origin, organization, objectives

Since 2005, the state government has been supporting the cluster management Maritime Cluster Schleswig-Holstein with the financial participation of the three chambers of industry and commerce. As the central management body, MCN e. V. provides the five state offices with an umbrella under which the management of the Schleswig-Holstein office (MCN | SH), under the auspices of WTSH GmbH, is responsible for boosting the competitiveness and innovative strength of the maritime companies, universities and research institutions based in the region.
