The Network

ECPE European Center for Power Electronics is an industry-led research network in Europe, supported by around 100 member companies. Furthermore, more than 100 university and research institutes belong to the network as so-called ECPE Competence Centers. In an industry-financed joint research programme, ECPE supports research projects at the Competence Centers.

ECPE also organizes specialist events such as workshops, training courses and expert discussions and promotes power electronics engineering to young students. The Power Electronics Cluster in ECPE e.V. coordinates a regional cooperation network as part of the Bavarian cluster offensive. This is particularity about the initiation of innovations in the Bavarian economy—using the existing value chains from materials and components up to systems and applications of power electronics, e.g. for electric vehicles, industrial and rail drives as well as renewable energy systems.
