BioLAGO e. V. – the health network

BioLAGO is an international healthcare network in the four-country region of Lake Constance (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein) and brings together around 160 members in the fields of diagnostics, medical technology, pharmaceuticals and healthcare IT. BioLAGO thus addresses the high-tech sectors of the healthcare industry, often referred to in specialist literature as the 4Ds of medicine: Devices, Diagnostics, Data, Drugs & Therapy.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), universities, research institutes, clinics, laboratories and large companies work together as equals in the BioLAGO healthcare network to jointly develop innovations in the field of healthcare.

The BioLAGO health network links business and science for innovation. The association actively promotes the transfer of knowledge and the establishment of new companies. BioLAGO has been successfully active in the four-country region of Lake Constance and beyond since 2008. Active partnering has resulted in more than 650 member cooperations that have created innovations in the region and beyond.

BioLAGO stands for cross-border cooperation and the networking of corporate expertise. The network actively supports its members with an industry-focused range of services such as training courses and conferences, specialist initiatives, knowledge and technology transfer, consulting and marketing.

A cornerstone of the association is the continuous work on innovative healthcare projects. By linking research, development, production and application, the network strengthens the innovative power and competitiveness of SMEs. Close cooperation with research institutions promotes the development of new technologies.

BioLAGO was the first network on Lake Constance and one of only three healthcare clusters in Germany to be awarded the "Cluster Excellence Baden-Württemberg" quality label by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Housing and the Gold Label for professional management by the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI) of the European Union. This makes BioLAGO one of Europe's most efficient innovation networks for business and science.

BioLAGO is also a member of the excellence program "go-cluster: Exzellent vernetzt" of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK).
